We prepared this text as our school's own material for the December issue of Prestiż Szczecin magazine (no. 189). It sums up the year in which our pupils stood on a world championship podium for the first time.
At the IDO PFT World Championships our duo took second place in the Ballet Duos Junior 2 category and the group third place in Ballet Groups Adults; at the biggest ballet competition in Poland the group won the national vice-championship. Behind those results stands daily work on the foundations of technique and on removing bad habits - and Olga Kuźmina-Pietkiewicz's conviction that a competition is not the goal, only a test of the road a dancer is travelling.
The article also speaks of what parents see beyond technique: confidence, discipline and the ability to work hard. And it ends with a request that still stands today - competing costs money, so the school invites Szczecin's businesses to become patrons of its young dancers.
