Ballet classes for children aged 3 to 9 are a wonderful way to introduce the youngest dancers to the magical world of dance. The programme is adapted to the children's age and abilities, combining the first ballet steps with play and creativity. In doing so, children develop coordination, a sense of rhythm and the ability to express themselves through dance.
Baby Ballet for 3-year-olds is run as ballet play, while keeping the foundations that have to be learned: arm and leg positions, coordination, and getting to know musical rhythms and how to move in time with the music.
Ballet for 4-5-year-olds either continues from there or starts from scratch, focusing on physical development, coordination, positions, correcting posture and flat feet, and on musicality and rhythmics. Children in this group already appear on stage and at concerts.
Ballet for 6-7-year-olds and Ballet for 7-8-year-olds are the next stages, where children build on the earlier classes. Joining these groups requires passing an audition or an assessment.
From the age of 9 the group belongs to the vocational school level, with classes 3-4 times a week. Ballet above the age of 9 is part of the vocational Professional Ballet School, where classes are held at a high level almost every day, preparing children for a dance career. Children aged 9 and over may qualify for Professional Ballet classes.
