Olga Kuźmina gives a private lesson - correcting arm placement at the barre

We give private ballet lessons in Szczecin, in the studio at ul. Mariana Rapackiego 3B (Joy Dance), for children, teenagers and adults - as a one-to-one lesson with Olga Kuźmina, a graduate of the Kyiv State Ballet School and a dancer at the Opera na Zamku.

Times are arranged individually, and you book a lesson by phone, by e-mail or through the form on this page.

In ballet nothing replaces a teacher's eye on one student alone. In a group lesson a correction comes every few minutes; in a private lesson, with every movement. That is why dancers all over the world, from ballet-school pupils to soloists, prepare the things that matter most exactly this way: in the studio, one to one, with time to repeat every detail.

Who private lessons are for

For a child who wants to join a group mid-season and has to catch up with the programme.

For a pupil of a professional group working on one specific weakness - turns, jumps, pointe. For an adult who prefers to learn at their own pace, without a group, or has unusual working hours. And for anyone preparing for something important: an audition, an exam, a competition, a performance.

Preparation for exams, auditions and competitions

Entrance exams to state ballet schools, auditions for companies and for our professional school, ballet competitions in Poland and abroad - each needs a different preparation. In private lessons we choose the repertoire (classical variations and contemporary choreography), work on interpretation and on what the jury assesses, and plan entries suited to the dancer's stage of development. Our pupils regularly win podium places and receive invitations to European and world championships.

What a lesson looks like

A lesson is built around the student's goal: a short warm-up, work on chosen elements at the barre and in the centre, and for competition preparation a variation, repeated section by section. The student also gets tasks to work on between lessons, so progress does not depend on studio hours alone.

How to book a lesson

Call or write - the phone number and e-mail address are in the contact card on this page, and you can also send a question through the form beside it. Say who will be learning (age, experience) and what the goal is, and we will propose a time. Private lessons have no fixed timetable; we arrange them around the group classes in the studio.

The first class is always free.

Length and frequency are agreed when you book, to fit the student's goal - catching up with a group's programme looks different from competition or exam preparation.
