Balet Kuzmina Ballet School. Passion and classical dance at the highest level

Published: 19/09/2024

We prepared this text as our school's own material for Głos Szczeciński, in its "Nasze Dobre z Pomorza" series (September 2024). It is a portrait of the school in its fifth year - since the end of 2019, when Olga Kuźmina-Pietkiewicz founded it.

The article recalls what had been achieved on stage by then: two children's productions at the Opera na Zamku - "The Nutcracker", under the patronage of the Mayor of Szczecin, and "Cipollino" - and "The Little Mermaid", ready to be staged. It also speaks of the competitions the pupils prepare for, up to the European and world championships.

The second thread is method. Olga - a Master of Arts in classical dance, honoured with the Minister of Culture's award - stresses that classical ballet demands systematic study and the right methodology, and that not everyone today can pass it on properly. The school pairs staff with formal training and stage careers with tools that help the work on technique and fitness, from tailored playlists to training equipment. It closes with a client's opinion - also among the reviews on our site - and Olga's conviction that the school builds the region's image by showing its talents.
