We prepared this text as our school's own material for the February issue of Prestiż Szczecin magazine (no. 179). It describes the classes for mothers and their babies that Olga Kuźmina-Pietkiewicz launched in spring 2024 in the new, mint-coloured studio at Joy Dance in Szczecin - mirrors, barres and a professional ballet floor.
The idea grew out of personal experience: Olga returned to the studio after the birth of her second child and completed a fitness course that qualified her to work with women during pregnancy and after childbirth. The groups are small, six at most, and meet mid-week, so that every mother gets attention and the babies get a calm, comfortable first meeting with movement and with other children.
The article also recalls the stage: in December 2023 Olga presented "The Nutcracker" on the stage of the Szczecin opera, with "The Little Mermaid" as the next project. For new mothers the classes are a return to form and a way out of the house at the same time - to people with similar experiences.
